peaches.

with the start of peach season upon us, 

i thought i'd throw out some inspiration as to

what to do with all those beauties.

i recently picked up the blue chair jam cookbook 

from the library and am currently in the

process of an early summer peach marmalade. 

i'll let you know how it turns out.

i'm thinking a nice rosemary shortbread

would be a perfect compliment.

ps. the cookbook is completely stunning...

don't wait another minute before you try this 

easy and amazing dessert.

then there are some of my other faves,

peach pie and cobbler.

and if you're going savory?

they are lovely roasted or grilled 

with rosemary and honey, 

served with pork chops.

wear this cute stripe dress over your swimsuit with some salt water sandals this weekend and enjoy the lovely weather (or, if you live in phoenix, enjoy actually getting in the pool on this hot weekend...).  

make a strawberry tart.  with strawberries at every store and market, how can you pass this goodness up?

do have a go at making your own little a-frame tent.  set it up in your yard or your living room, it is good for every season.

food trucks

phoenix won't be left behind on the food truck trend.

hit up the phoenix public market on 

wednesdays from 4-8 or fridays from 11-1:30.

you will find a little bit of everything

from the numerous food trucks
parked around the street.

and then you can take a stroll through the market

and grab yourself one of the best coffees in town from

 royal at the market.

there, i think we just planned you

edible selby

 have you discovered edible selby yet?

it is a new column for the new york time's t magazine.

the first installment features the amazing 

san francisco restaurant tartine.

there is something about kitchen pictures of people 

actually at work that i absolutely love.

the process and the real light all just seem so calming...

oh, and they just came out with a bread book

that looks to-die-for.

wear a stack of whimsical and colorful friendship bracelets on your fancy wrist. razzle dazzle up any simple outfit. layers of bracelets always make me feel awesome.
make some grilled chicken sandwiches and slaw + asparagus salad for an easy weekend dinner. just because they made it sound so good with their fun little marinade tricks and addition of cider vinegar to the slaw. my mouth was watering.
do gaze at these stunning shots from the nyc ballet project. i would love some of these to hang in my home. gorgeous work.
